Description & Requirements
The Security Intern will ideally have a focus on SecDevOps. Ideally this position will support the integration of security practices into the software development and operations lifecycle (SDLC). This role assists in automating security controls, monitoring systems, and ensuring compliance with Forvis Mazars’ security standards. The intern will gain hands-on experience in secure coding, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security within a professional services environment.
How you will contribute:
- Collaborate with DevOps as a Security team member to implement security centric or focused CI/CD pipelines
- Assist in vulnerability scanning, code analysis, and remediation efforts.
- Assist in cloud security initiatives and processes
- Support automation of security testing and compliance checks
- Document processes and contribute to security best practices
- Participate in troubleshooting and incident response activities as needed
We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:
- Basic understanding of application security principles and DevOps practices.
- Some Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and version control (Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
High School diploma or equivalent required
Two-Year college, preferred
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git etc), security tools (SAST/DAST), and Cloud Platforms.
- 0-1 years minimum
