Description & Requirements

The Forvis Mazars Internship Program is an excellent opportunity for students who would like to gain valuable experience and exposure to the consulting department of the Forvis Mazars Springfield office. As a Health Care Consulting Intern, you will work on client engagements like those assigned to our entry-level consultants and be able to test out your technical know-how.  You will work alongside our senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience as you develop your skill set.

You will be trained in the preparation of annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, and other projects as needed. In addition, you could be involved with data analytics through the use of various technology tools. Generally, this winter internship runs from mid-February through May 31st. This program also offers potential opportunities for full-time employment and career advancement after graduation.

  • Available to work 15-25 hours per week required
Hours Requirement:

We are able to be flexible with your school schedule providing you are able to:

  • Accommodate our normal business hours of Monday-Friday 8am - 5 pm
  • Commit to at least 15-25 hours per week
Qualifications:

  • Working toward a bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Ability to balance academic schedule with workload for multiple clients and projects while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Fluency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook and Word.
