Description & Requirements

As a Forvis Mazars Tax Senior, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop a team in tax, while also providing an unmatched client experience. If you have experience with tax advisory services, tax compliance, and tax provision to a diversified client base, this is the position for you!

 

How you will contribute:

  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services to clients in the investment management industry including, but not limited to: hedge funds, private equity funds, and energy funds

  • Help develop, build, and manage client relationships

  • Assist in managing, developing, and coaching professional tax personnel

  • Review returns prepared by tax staff

  • Effectively delegate responsibilities, monitoring efforts of engagement teams

  • Research complex tax issues, apply findings to projects, and clearly communicate those findings in writing to the client

  • Maintain frequent communication with client management/personnel and consistently sell additional services provided by the firm

  • Have a disciplined approach that is reasonably successful in attracting new clients and developing referral sources

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited college/university

  • 1-5 years of relevant tax experience providing tax compliance and advisory services in public accounting or with a professional services or consulting firm

  • CPA license or have secured the educational requirements to satisfy the 150-credit hour requirement necessary to obtain a CPA license.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing tax compliance and advisory services within the investment management industry (i.e. hedge funds, private equity funds, energy funds, real estate funds, fund of funds)
  • Partnership taxation
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
