Description & Requirements

You will have the opportunity to work with multiple clients and lead high-performing teams to execute consulting projects for clients in the Financial Services industry (primarily community banks). The position will require working in a team environment to achieve a common goal and build relationships with fellow team members and clients. The common areas of consulting for this position include internal audit, compliance, and overall problem-solving.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates who possess strong attention to detail, sensitivity to deadlines, and leadership and management capabilities. Dedication to client service is essential, including consistent positive interactions with clients and demonstrating effective communication and people skills. The successful candidate will be an independent worker with excellent project management and time management skills.

What You Will Do:
  • Providing clients with subject matter expertise in the areas of internal audit, compliance, and accounting
  • Overall project management, including planning, supervising, and executing consulting projects in the financial services industry
  • Performing root cause analysis related to project findings and drafting formal deliverables for client management summarizing project findings and recommendations
  • Managing engagement fundamentals (e.g., realization, utilization, leverage)
  • Collaborating with clients and key stakeholders to understand business strategy and objectives, operational issues, and challenges, and deliver solutions that optimize operations
  • Building, maintaining, and collaborating with an array of client stakeholders, from c-level executives to front-line supervisors, in understanding operational areas and identifying areas for improvement
  • Communicating frequently with clients and key stakeholders, ensuring that appropriate parties remain informed and involved in project developments
  • Developing a network of clients and industry resources and deploying marketing techniques to contribute to the growth of the Financial Services team


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or another related field
  • 7 years of experience in consulting, public accounting, or at a financial institution 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CFSA, CRCM, CAFP, CAMS, CPA, AAP, APRP, and/or CIA a plus
  • Knowledge of, and experience working with, federal and state banking regulations
  • Advanced computer skills and ability to learn new software related to the accounting function of an organization
