Forvis Mazars' growing International Tax Services (ITS) Group strives to help companies as they work to achieve tax efficiency in their international operations. From major multinationals already operating in several countries to smaller businesses planning their first foray abroad, companies face a daunting array of regulations and tax concerns that impact and inform their global business decisions.



 What You Will Do:

  • Working with other professionals within a National Tax Services team; working with tax professionals domestically and internationally
  • Building awareness and understanding of jurisdictional rules and filing requirements
  • Attending client status calls and meetings and providing supporting data and findings for the leadership team
  • Providing tax consulting and compliance in a professional environment for the effective diagnosis, solution, development, and implementation of tax solutions
  • Helping draft and assisting in the delivery of client projects; using quantitative analysis to solve issues that arise
  • Responding to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities
  • Assisting with US tax reporting for international transactions, including new provisions resulting from Tax Reform, e.g., GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Section 163(j) interest limitation, Section 199A, and the interplay with privately-held taxpayers
  • Assisting in providing IC-DISC administration


Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting
  • Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam or have a current CPA license
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2+ years of tax experience
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience or internships in a public accounting firm performing audit or tax work
  • Demonstrated technical accounting knowledge
  • Close attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
  • Recognizes areas of opportunity through critical evaluation and identifies solutions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adapt, be responsive, and manage self-awareness
  • A demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines
